Flower Essences and Fear of Flying

I just want to start by saying that I am a very nervous flyer and this article is not necessarily a review of Lotus Wei products generally ( this is a whole different article as they are amazing) , but how they have helped me to combat my fear . I have been a frequent flyer , flying over 20 times per year , for the last 20 years and can honestly say that in my case , flying often hasn’t helped me to feel less anxious, stressed and even panicky when I am boarding a plane. My  anxiety reaches its highest during turbulence, take off and landing, however I generally don’t feel comfortable throughout the whole flight , although most of the time I do try to control myself. Stress on Beauty

I want to talk about stress.  Chronic stress, stress that is present within us every day  It seems that stress has overtaken our lives and we have accepted it, rushing through life without  stopping to notice anything else around us.  Stressing about things that don’t really matter that much . I am much better these days at dealing with stress and keeping calm in stressful situations, than I used to be a few years ago.  I have managed to learn how to better deal with stress  through my meditation and yoga practice. When I get stressed I always try to breathe and observe the situation from a distance. This helps me to act as a witness of a situation , rather than getting caught up in the emotion of it.  This approach has helped me to deal with many challenging situations in my life. The Energy of the Full Moon

When the moon is full, the sun shines its light upon the backside of the moon, and that  is why the moon is very bright and glowing in the sky. The energy of the full moon is supercharged and I love how it makes me feel. During this time I can feel myself motivated , having loads of energy and power and  I am usually full of great creative ideas during this time. It is a magical time for me and I try to use it to my advantage to a full extend. This is a time for healing, self- expression, empowerment and making our ideas come alive. If used correctly a full moon is a great time of positive opportunity . It can either increase positive energy or play havoc on our emotions , depending on our state of mind at the time . The Five Tibetans

I know that none of us ever have time for anything these days and that time is precious indeed. Living a fast paced life as we do, affects our stress levels, without us always realising it and in turn affecting every aspect of our health. I don’t always have time to do a full yoga lesson every day and when I am short on time I practice the ancient practice of the Tibetan Monks called  The Five Tibetans. These take around 20 min per day, relatively easy to do, easy to remember and can dramatically increase our physical strength and suppleness as well as mental vision. It is so energising and invigorating , I absolutely love doing this practice. It gives me energy , allows me to continue my yoga practice when I don’t have much time and helps to keep me centred.
