Rishi Veda : The Art of Healing Facials

A good facial to me is so much more than a facial, apart from providing my skin some loving and caring, it has the ability to put me in a very meditative and deeply relaxed theta brain wave state, which adds a whole new dimension to the experience. The energy and technique of the facialist, the quality and the scents of the products used make up an overall healing experience, which is even more relevant now than ever before. I’ve recently had a pleasure to experience the magical facial done by the beautiful Madhavi of  Rishi Veda in London’s Mayfair.  A very skilled facialist , aroma therapist and  practitioner of the healing arts,  Madhavi is  beautiful, warm, knowledgeable and very passionate about bringing about the client’s positive changes on both emotional and physical level.  She mixes her own custom blends from purest, potent and natural ingredients tailored to the specific needs of her clients. Her aim is to provide each client with bespoke treatments and products which align their mind and body to honour the beauty within. She offers a range of personalised treatments that are created to bring you into a …

2016 Beauty Favourites

The year is coming to an end and it has been such an amazing year for me and I am so  looking forward to New year and new experiences. This year I have tried and been introduced to so many amazing natural beauty products and I have absolutely loved using them, some of them have become my all time favourites. Here is the round up of  my favourite beauty products for this year, some of the sections include more than one product as I couldn’t choose between the two.  I have tried to put the links to some of the smaller less known brands and also I did not include hair products as I am very basic when it comes to haircare and just use a natural shampoo and oils as treatments. There are many hair products that I enjoy using but I am still looking for that ‘cant live without’ hair product. Skincare Moisturiser- I mostly use oils  and balms as part of my skincare, however I would highly recommend Living Libations and Gemstone Organics moisturisers. Face …

Manuka Honey Magic Face Treatment

About once a week I make myself a beautiful spicy manuka mask, while I am taking a long , warm, healing bath. This is one of my favourite rituals. I absolute love baths and while applying a mask, the heat from the bath opens my pores , making the mask work more effectively. Manuka honey has amazing healing and anti-bacterial  properties. It offers amazing anti viral, anti microbial and anti bacterial health benefits and can be used to boost the immune system to fight off illnesses and improve skin conditions.   It is a specialist honey, and to see the benefits you need to get the proper stuff (not all honey is created equal). It is very important to make sure that you’re getting the real deal. Proper Manuka honey comes from New Zealand, and will have a UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) rating of 10+ or more on its label. The higher the number , the stronger the antibiotic effect. Cheaper imitations are likely to be less effective.  I always make sure that I buy organic , as I believe that it is better …
