Rishi Veda : The Art of Healing Facials

A good facial to me is so much more than a facial, apart from providing my skin some loving and caring, it has the ability to put me in a very meditative and deeply relaxed theta brain wave state, which adds a whole new dimension to the experience. The energy and technique of the facialist, the quality and the scents of the products used make up an overall healing experience, which is even more relevant now than ever before.

I’ve recently had a pleasure to experience the magical facial done by the beautiful Madhavi of  Rishi Veda in London’s Mayfair.  A very skilled facialist , aroma therapist and  practitioner of the healing arts,  Madhavi is  beautiful, warm, knowledgeable and very passionate about bringing about the client’s positive changes on both emotional and physical level.  She mixes her own custom blends from purest, potent and natural ingredients tailored to the specific needs of her clients. Her aim is to provide each client with bespoke treatments and products which align their mind and body to honour the beauty within. She offers a range of personalised treatments that are created to bring you into a state of deep relaxation and calm so your body and mind can take rest and begin to heal itself.

This specific treatment I received included a face cleanse with a balm which is a blend of jojoba and plum kernel oil infused with essential oil of May Chang to refresh and purify.   Pressure points technique was used over a steaming aromatic towel which removed the cleanser and prepared the skin for deep cleansing. Followed by a signature yellow clay face  mask that was massaged into my face, neck and décolleté under a warm lemongrass  steam.  Skin was then gently extracted and prepared for the water serum which is an infusion of hyaluronic acid and pomegranate extract.

A custom blended face oil of sandalwood, rose and bergamot in a base of watermelon, evening primrose and baobab was massaged into the face, neck and décolleté.  A blissful combination of deep tissue, Swedish and lymphatic drainage delivered the oil into the skin. A hydrating face mask made in a base of flower waters, oat active, aloe vera and hyaluronic acid that gives the skin a blast of moisture while the black clay cleanser was applied to the nose and chin to scoop out any remaining impurities.

While the mask was working I received an amazing shoulder and scalp massage , which send me into the state of pure bliss even further. The treatment finished with a spritz of flower mist, serum and a rose and peppermint lip butter.

Relaxing, healing and nourishing treatment, I have literally melted into the bed while my skin was massaged, cleansed , exfoliated and looked after.

My skin looked and felt glowing ,  bright , clean,  very soft , nourished and toned and I was left with a smile on my face for the rest of the day!

Absolutely heavenly!

Facials start from £100 for a bespoke facial.
