Vanilla Honey Scrub

I absolutely love making my own body scrubs and there are so many different ones that you can do. This one smells super sweet thanks to the vanilla and honey added to it and the peppermint leaves your skin feeling totally refreshed. I love using sugar in scrubs as sugar boosts cell turnover and retains moisture. (However you can of course  use sea salt if you wish) Honey is also great as it has antioxidant , antimicrobial and humectant properties that help to moisturise, nourish and protect he skin. Jojoba oil is an excellent oil for the skin as it has regenerative, restructuring and toning properties.

This scrub leaves your skin soft, refreshed and smelling so sweet.

Here is how to make it:

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup Jojoba oil (you can use almond or olive oils )

1/4 raw honey

1 Vanilla bean

10 drops peppermint essential oil

1 tsp vanilla extract ( optional)

Mix the sugar with the oil, scraped vanilla bean seeds and honey. Add essential oil and stir. You can add more or less oil depending on the consistency that you prefer. Scoop the scrub into a jar and place the lid tightly.

To use gently massage in circular motion into wet skin and rinse after few minutes. Your skin will feel exfoliated and moisturized!

Love, Anna xx
