The summer has finally arrived and I wanted to write down some great inspirational ideas for the summer season. I feel so inspired during the summer months and these are the times when most of my greatest ideas come alive . So, here are some inspiring things you can do to make the best of the summer months:
Find your Rhythm
Wake up early and see how much more stuff you can fit into your day . Summer is a great time to do this as the days are longer. Just do it and see how much more energised and motivated you will feel .
Make a list of Your Goals
Write down your goals, intentions and plans for the near future , put the list somewhere where you can see it every day. Plan things that you have always wanted to do and take a first step towards realising your dreams.
Get Rid of The Things That Don’t Serve You Anymore
Free yourself from the things that are not doing you any good, things that you wanted to get rid of for a long time , things that are weighing you down. This could include habits, toxic relationships or things that don’t make you happy anymore.
Salute The Sun
Start the day with a Sun Salutation practice. This is wonderful way to waken, energise and stretch the body. If possible do this facing the sun to feel the connection of the solar energy with the body.
Drink more Water
Less coffee and tea and more water. This will make you feel lighter and healthier. I love fruit water , just adding some fresh fruits to your water bottle or glass is a great way to infuse your water with vitamins and minerals. It tastes so good and refreshing .
Eat Fresh Seasonal Food
Summers offers us so many fresh , seasonal fruits and vegetables , full of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. I love berries, they are so good for the health of our skin. Try to buy locally grown stuff and use this opportunity to enrich your body with the good stuff.
Read Great Books
Make a list of the inspirational books and start reading them , as much as you can. There are so many great books, that can inspire and teach us a great dal. I often re read books, I love making notes and underlining the important stuff in the book and often go back for some motivational and inspirational texts. So many books have changed my life and the way I see the world, these are some of my favourites: J Krishnamurti- The Book Of Life, Dalai Lama- The Art Of Happiness and nothing says summer to me more than Anais Nin books.
Move Your Body
Movements feels us with power, flexibility and energy. Find what suits you best, yoga, running, dancing, walking in the countryside, biking or anything else that you like. Get outdoors and just do it. See how good it makes you body feel .
Gratitude is a very powerful tool for increasing happiness level. Every day write down things that you are grateful for. Do it either first thing in the morning or the last thing before you go to bed. The more good you will appreciate, the more will come to your life!
