Vanilla Kisses Lip Scrub

Dry and flaky lips can be a problem not only in winter but also in the summer months. There are hundreds of lip scrub products that are available in the shops, however I truly believe that with some simple and beautiful ingredients you can have so much fun making it yourself. There are so many variations and different products you can use and the best thing about it is knowing exactly what goes into it.

Here is one recipe, which will definitely make your lips soft and smooth.  The main ingredient is sugar which is a natural humectant that prevents moisture loss and buffs away dry flakes. Jojoba oil does an amazing job at nourishing the tender  skin on the lips.  Peppermint oil gives this scrub a cooling and refreshing effect and is great for windblown or sunburnt lips.  Oh and it tastes heavenly!

Ingredients:        chem (1 of 1)-2

1 tablespoon of fine Brown Sugar

1 tablespoon Caster Sugar

1 tablespoon Jojoba Oil

10 drops Vanilla extract (optional)

3 drops Peppermint essential oil (optional)

Method:

Combine the ingredients in a small bowl and give them a good stir. Put the mixture in a small glass jar.  sugar-and-honey

Use this scrub as frequently as needed , lightly massaging it into the lips in circular motions and then rinse off.

This recipe makes enough product for about 2-3 months and can be stored in a cool place for about 6 month.

Enjoy !
