Nourishing and Balancing Ginger Tea

This is a recipe for a warming and nourishing  ginger tea, great for the colder months. It is packed full of vitamins, minerals and amino acids and very quick and easy to make. I love perfect winter drinks, knowing that it nourishes me and strengthens my immune system.

For this warming tea you will need:

Ginger – contains Vitamin A, B , amino acids an minerals such as iron and zinc that are beneficial for cardiovascular systems and therefore may help reduce the risk of blocked arteries, a common cause of heart attacks may help reduce the risk of blocked arteries, a common cause of heart attacks . Ginger also  increases circulation and supports good blood flow.

Lime and Orange –  both are excellent sources of vitamin C, B6, potassium, folate and  flavonoids  phytochemical . Great for improving digestion and strengthening the immune system. Contain ascorbic acids which slows down the ageing process , stimulates the production of collagen , which tones and  firms the skin.

Raw Honey- strengthens the immune systems and kills the viruses in the body.

Peel and grate a small piece of fresh ginger – and don’t forget to inhale the essential oil of the fresh ginger  while you doing it. Ginger is amazingly invigorating.

Place 1 tea spoon of ginger in a cup and pour some boiling water , leave to brew for 10 min.

Squeeze a juice of half a lime and half a lemon into a bowl ( keep the juicy bits in ) and add to a ginger tea once it has been slightly cooled.

Add a tea spoon of honey to the tea, which will add the sweetness and goodness to the tea.
